The MLS system is the number one resource for networking and co-operatively selling homes. By searching the MLS via a direct link, you avoid the pitfalls of being spammed by advertisers or contacted without your consent by hungry Realtors. 

Think about it... the last time you hit any one of the well known real estate search engines what did you see? ADS!  The internet and websites make their money from advertising the same way TV and Radio do. Those sites are free to use, so the creators of the sites bombard you with things you simply don't need. You need access to current homes on the market. That's it!
